Xtralp is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses our platform.
1. Who This Applies To
This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who interact with Xtralp, including Members, Care Circle coordinators, Paid Companions, Volunteer Companions, and Administrators.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account or use our platform, we collect: full name and date of birth, contact information (email, phone, address), account credentials, role selection, lifestyle preferences you choose to share (such as favourite activities, food preferences for Meal Prep visits, or pets in your home), Companion profile details (services offered, availability), government-issued ID photos for Companion verification, payment method details processed by Stripe, in-app messages, and ratings and reviews.
2.2 Information We Do NOT Collect
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
We automatically collect device and browser information, log data including IP address and access times, usage patterns, and approximate location data to match you with nearby Companions.
2.4 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information from Stripe (payment processing), our background check partner (check status and consent confirmation), and authentication providers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: enable booking and visit management between Members and Companions, allow Care Circle coordinators to manage visits on behalf of a Member, match Members with available local Companions, process payments, conduct Companion identity and background verification, send appointment confirmations and booking updates, improve the platform, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with Florida mandatory reporting requirements under Chapter 415.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
4.1 Within the Platform
Companions can see the visit details and preferences of Members they are booked to assist. Care Circle coordinators can view booking history and session details within the permissions granted by the primary account holder.
4.2 With Third-Party Service Providers
We share data with Stripe (payment processing), our approved background check partner, cloud hosting providers, and analytics tools. All vendors are contractually required to protect your data.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose information where required by law, including mandatory reporting under Chapter 415, Florida Statutes. Florida Abuse Hotline: 1-800-962-2873.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations. When you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. Data Security
We implement encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, secure cloud infrastructure, and use third-party processors (Stripe and our background check partner) to keep the most sensitive data off our platform entirely.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@xtralp.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Florida Compliance
Xtralp complies with the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA — Fla. Stat. § 501.171) and the Florida Adult Protective Services Act (Chapter 415). All Companions are subject to mandatory reporting requirements. FCRA-compliant background checks are conducted by our approved partner.
9. Children's Privacy
Xtralp is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us at privacy@xtralp.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy and, where appropriate, sending an email or in-app notification.
